Raag Ramkali M.5
Pauri no. 4 of Ramkali Ki Vaar M.5.
In Japji Sahib we are told that if God blesses you with singing His Praises, it is such a great blessing, that you become a king amongst other kings. “Jis nu bakshe sifat salah; Nanak Patshahi Patshah.”
In this pauri, Guru Ji tells us that it is a rare Saint who receives blessings to sing His Praises; and anyone who is bestowed this Treasure (of the Lord’s Name) is never called to give any accounts.
“Sifat salahan bhagat virlay ditiyan; saumpay jis Bhandar fir puch na litiyan.”
Those who are coloured with love for God get absorbed in bliss; they take the Support of the One Name, and this One Name is their Sustenance.
“Jis nu lagga rang se rang rateya; onaa Eko Naam adhaar Eko oon bhatiya.”
On account of them, the world eats and revels; their Beloved Lord belongs to them alone. (God’s Love is so pure and overwhelming there is no jealousy, as in human love).
“Ona pichay jag bhunchay bhogaiyee; ona pyara Rab onaha jogaiyee.”
They merge into the Guru (Shabad) and the Lord meets them; I am a sacrifice to those who become pleasing to the Lord.
“Jis miliya Gur aaye tin Prabh jaaniya; hao balihari tin je Khasme bhaaniya.”
