Raag Devgandhaaree M.4.

Guru Ramdas Ji describes the total reliance upon Naam by the jeev isteri. Guru Ji then describes the overwhelming delight and awe of the jeev isteri as she is blessed to have Darshan of the Satguru.

The Lord’s servants lovingly focus their minds on Him; Lord, those who chant Your Praises through the Guru’s Teachings have this most fortunate destiny written on their foreheads.

“Sewak jan banne Thakur liv laage; jo Tumra jas kahte gurmatt tin mukh bhaag sabhaage.” (rahao).

Attaching their minds to the Lord’s Name, their bonds of maya are broken; my mind is enticed by the Wondrous Guru, beholding Him I am wonderstruck.

“Tutte maya ke bandhan faahe Har Raam Naam liv laage; hamra mann mohiyo Gur mohan ham bissam bheyi mukh laage.”

I slept in darkness through the entire dark night of my life, but through the tiniest bit of the Guru’s Grace, I have been awakened; O Beautiful Lord and Master of servant Nanak, there is none in comparison with You.

“Sagli rein soyee andhiari Gur kichatt kirpa jaage; jan Nanak ke Prabh Sundar Suami mohe Tum sar avar na laage.”

Bhai Ji further elaborated on January 24, 2025:

It is a great blessing upon you if you become His sewak.
When you become His sewak, He Himself takes over and completes the tasks of the sewak. The sewak no longer does anything in haumai. Haumai attracts karmic bondages.
When He takes over His sewak, He gives full protection, and even the Naam japna is done by Him.
“Apne sewak ki Aape rakhe Aape Naam japavhe.” (Ang 403).

Whatever is requested by the sewak, is immediately fulfilled by the Lord.
“Jo jo kahe Thakur peh sewak tattlaal hoye aavhe.”

In this Shabad, a sewak jeev isteri says she has become His sewak and her liv is focused upon Him.
“Sewak jann banne Thakur liv laage.”

She is fascinated/wonder struck as she is blessed to see the Lord. (Jote).
“Hamra mann mohiyo Gur Mohan ham bissam bheyi mukh laage.”

Going deep inwards with lots of simran, with His Grace, leads to Darshan.
