Raag Bilaaval (Bilawal) M.5
A Sikh expresses his gratitude to God. His prayers have been answered.
God, the Great Giver was Merciful and accepted my prayer; he saved His servant and put ashes into the mouth of the slanderer (dokhi).
“Ardas sunee Dataar Prabh hoye Kirpaal; raakh leyaa Apna sewako mukh nindak shaar.”
The Guru reassures him. No one can threaten you now, O my humble friend, you are a servant of the Guru; the Supreme Lord God has reached out with His Hands, and saved you.
“Tujhe na johay ko meet jann tu Gur ka dass; Parbrahm tu rakhiya de Apne haath.” (rahao).
The One Lord is the Giver to all beings, there is no other; Nanak’s prayer is, Lord, You are my only strength.
“Jiaan ko Dataa Ek hai beea nahi hor; Nanak ki benantiya mai Tera jor.”
