Pauri No. 12.

Raag Ramkali – Ramkali Ki Vaar M.5

A Sikh says, He feels he is truly alive, when he listens to the Glory and Greatness of His Name.

“Vadiaiyee Tere Naam Ki hao jiwa Sunn Sunne.”

Naam is so special that even ignorant beasts and goblins can be saved in an instant.

“Passu pret agyan udhare eik khinne.”

Day and night I chant Your Name, forever and ever.

“Dinnas Rain Tera Naoo Sada Sad Jaapiye.”

The most horrible thirsts and hungers are satisfied through Your Name.

“Trishna bhukh vikraal Naee Tere Dhraapiye.”

Disease sorrow and pain run away, when Naam dwells in the mind.

“Rogh sogh dukh vanjhe jis Naoo mann vasse.”

He attains his Beloved (Lall), as he enjoys the Relish of the Shabad.

“Tisse parapat Lall jo Gur Shabadi rasse. ”

Lord, You save the worlds and solar systems with Your Infinite Power.

“Khand Brahmand Beantt Udaranhariya.”

Your Glory is Yours Alone O Beloved True Lord.

“Teri sobha tudh sache mere pyarea.”

Bhai further elaborated on December 22, 2025:

It starts with Japna or listening to the Shabad.

As your avastha goes higher, and you are blessed with love for the Shabad, your paap karam get erased.
“Bhariye matt paapa ke sang; Oh dhope Naave ke Rang.”

In this Pauri/Shabad too, there is a slow progression upwards by the jeev.

It is when there is rass (delight/relish) in reciting any Shabad, that there is Union with the Divine One within you.

“Tisse parapatt Lall jo Gur Shabadi Rasse.”
