A Sikh speaks adoringly to God.

Lord, Your Bani is Incomparable and Infinite, and is the Support of Your Saints who reflect upon it; with perfect faith they remember You in meditation with every breath and morsel of food, how could they ever forget You?.

“Tere Bachan Anoop Apaar Santan Adhaar Bani bichariye jio; simrat saas giraas puran bisouaas kyo manho bisaariye jio.”

How could I ever forget Him even for an instant?. He is the Treasure of Virtues and my very breath of life; My Lord and Master fulfills all wishes, and knows all my inner pains.

“Kyo manho besaariye nimakh nahi taariye Gunwant praan hamare; mann baanshat falh deth hai Suami jee ki birtha sarey.”

He is the Master of the orphans (without any support), Companion to all, recite His Name, and you shall never lose (your precious) life in any gamble; Nanak’s Prayer to God is this – Bless me with Your Grace and take me across this terrifying world ocean.

“Anath ke Naathey Sarab ke Saathey japp juvhe janam na haariye; Nanak ki benantee Prabh peh Kirpa kar bhavjall taariye.”
