Raag Bihagara (Bihagda) M.5

This Shantt has 4 padas. This is the 3rd pada. In this pada, Guru Ji tells the Sikh he is most fortunate to read and listen to Bani. It brings great blessings, and unites you with God.

Listen O most fortunate one, to the Amrit Bani of the Lord; It permeates to the heart of those, in whose destiny it is so written.

“Sunn vadhbhagaiya Har Amrit Bani Raam; jin ko karam likhi tis riday samanee Raam.”

He alone knows the Indescribable Story unto whom God has shown His Mercy; (such a person), becomes immortal, and shall not die again. All his troubles, disputes and pains are dispelled.

“Akath kahanee tinni janee jis Aap Prabh kirpa karey; amar theeya firr na muaa kal kalesa dukh harey.”

He enters God’s Sanctuary and never leaves. God’s Love is pleasing to his mind and body; Nanak prays, sing forever the Sacred Amrit Bani.

“Har Sharan payee tajj na jahee Prabh preet mann tann bhanee; binvant Nanak sada gaiyeh Pavitar Amrit Bani.”
