Raag Kalyan M.4.

Guru Ji tells us about God’s Glory and His Unfathomable Nature.

The All Pervading Lord (Rama), we should all Sing His Praises (Ram). Yet, no one has found His Limits.

“Rama Ram Rame antt na paaiya.”

We are His children, and He is the Mighty Father, Mother, and resides within me.

“Ham barik Pritpare Tumre Tu Badh Purakh Pita mera Maaiya.”

God’s Names are Countless and Unfathomable. He is Inaccesible (by physical means – only Shabad), and is Sovereign.

“Har Ke Naam Asankh Aggam hai Aggam Aggam Har Raaiya.”

Virtuous ones and Spiritual Leaders have focused their consciousness upon God, but have not found an iota of His Greatness.

“Gunni Gyani Suratt Baho Kinni Eik Til nahi keemat paaiya.”

Always Sing of the Enlightener Lord, yet you will never find His Limits.

“Gobind Gunn Gobind sadh gaavhe Gunn Gobind antt na paaiya.”

You are Immeasurable (Amit) Unweighable (Atolh), Boundless (Aprampar) Master (Suami), one may recite Your Name a lot, yet, Your Depth cannot be fathomed.

“Tu Amit Atolh Aprampar Suami baho jappiye thaah na paaiya.”

Your servants Praise You, O Lord of maya, and Sing of Your Sovereign Nature.

“Ustatt Kare Tumri jann Madho Gunn Gaavhe Har Raaiya.”

You are the Ocean of Water, I am a mere fish, no one can find Your Extent.”

“Tum Jal Nidh ham minhe Tumre Tera antt na kathu paaiya.”

O Lord, who kills off all demons (internal and external), please bless me with the constant recital of Your Name.

“Jan ko Kirpa Karo Madhsudhan Har devho Naam japaaieya.”

I am a blind fool; Your Naam is my only Support. In utter humility and as gurmukh, I receive Naam in Your Grace.

“Mai andhulay Naam Tek hai jann Nanak gurmukh paaiya.”
