Raag Assa M.5.
A jeev isteri declares that she is smitten by love for God. Her eyes are bewitched beholding His Glorious Presence. She shares her experiences.
She says if the Infinite, Invisible Lord dwells in her mind even for an instant; then all her pains, troubles and diseases vanish.
“Saain Alakh Apaar bhori mann vassey ; dukh dardd rogh maee mehda habh nassey.”
I am a sacrifice to my Lord Master; as I meditate upon Him, great joy and wealth wells up within my mind and body.
“Hao vanja kurban Saain Aapne; hovay anand ghanaa mann tann jaapne.” (rahao).
Hearing even a little bit of news (Naam) about the Lord; I feel all peaceful, it’s worth cannot be estimated.
“Bindakk gaal sunni Sache Tiss Dhanee; sukhi hi sukh paaye maee na keem ganee.”
He is so Pleasing (Beautiful) to my eyes, beholding Him, I am bewitched; I am without merits my mother, (yet), He has attached me to the Hem of His Robe (Gurbani).
“Nainn pasondo soye pekh mustaak bheyi; mai nirgunn meri maai Aap larh laaiye lehyi.”
He is beyond the Vedas and all Scriptures; the Lord King of Nanak is seen ever present.
“Bedh Kateb sansaar sabhi hi bahraa; Nanak ka Patshah dissay jahraa.”
