Raag Bilaaval (Bilawal) M.5
A Sikh sings about the blessings he receives from Naam.
Dwelling in Sadhsanggat all sins are erased; as one attunes himself to love for God (with Naam), you are not cast into the womb of reincarnation.
“Sadhsanngat ke baasbe kalmalh sabh nasnaa; Prabh seti rang rateya ta te garab na basnaa.”
As you keep on reciting the Lord’s Name, your tongue becomes purified; the body and mind becomes immaculate as one recites the Shabads of the Guru.
“Naam kahat Govind ka suchi bheyi rasna; mann tann nirmal hoyi hai Gur ka japp jappna.” (rahao).
Tasting the subtle essence of the Lord (Naam), one becomes satisfied, and the mind experiences joy; inner wisdom becomes manifest, and turning away from maya, the heart lotus blossoms forth.
“Har rass chakhat dhrapiya mann rass leh hasna; budh pargas pargat bheyi ultt kamal bigsana.”
One is cooled and soothed, peaceful and content, and all thirst (for worldliness) gets quenched; the mind’s wandering in ten directions is stopped, and one dwells in a pure place (state, avastha).
“Sheetal shaant santokh hoye sabh bujhi trishna; das dis dhaavat mitt gaye nirmal thaan basna.”
The Saviour Lord saves him and his doubts (delusions) are burnt to ashes; Nanak is blessed with the Treasure of Naam and is at peace with the Vision (Darshan) of the Saint (Satguru).
“Rakhanhare rakhiya bhaye bhram bhasna; Naam nidhan Nanak sukhi pekh Sadh Darshna.”
