The Shantt has 4 padas. This is the 1st pada. A jeev isteri tells her satsangans about the Lord’s nature. My dear Lord and Master always speak sweetly. I speak from experience, He never speaks harshly. (Does not ever use unchaste language).
“Mith bolrha ji Har Sajjan Suami mora; hao sammal thaki ji Oh kadey na bolay kaura”
The Perfect Lord God does not know any bitter words; He does not hold grudges nor keep in His heart my faults and demerits. (He is very forgiving).
“Kaura boll na jaane Puran Bhagvaney auggan ko na chitarey.”
It is His innate nature to purify sinners; He does not overlook an iota of effort (on the spiritual path to Him).
“Patit paavan Har birdh sadaye eik til nahi bhanne ghaaley.”
He dwells in every heart and pervades everywhere; He is the nearest of the near.
“Ghat ghat vasee sarab nivasee nerey hi te nera.”
Slave Nanak seeks His Sanctuary forever; my Friend is the Lord of Ambrosia”
