Raag Gauree (Gauri) Shantt M.3.
This is the 4th (final) pada of this Shantt.
The jeev isteri pleads for union. As we take to Naam you are indeed blessed to reach this state of bairaag. She says.
“Mil mere Prithama jio tudh bin khari nimanee”
(Please meet me my Beloved; without You I am downcast and miserable.)
Sleep does not come to my eyes and my being has no desire for food or water.
“Mai nainee neend na aave jio bhave ann na paanee”
I have no desire for food or water; I am dying in separation: without my Husband Lord how can I find peace.?
“paani ann na bhaave mariye haave bin Pir kyo sukh paiiye”
I plead with my Guru; as it pleases You, whatever it takes please unite me with Him.
“Gur aage karo benantee je Gur bhaave jio milay tivay milaiiye”
The Lord is so Gracious.
He is the Giver of Peace; He has come to my home to meet me.
“Aape mel leye sukhdata aap miliya ghar aaye”
Now the soul bride is eternally wedded to a Husband who never dies nor leaves.
“Nanak kamman sada suhangan na Pir maray na jaaye”
