Raag Dhanaasree – Bhagat Namdev Ji.

Bhagat Ji talks to God, Praising His Birdh and the Infinite power of His Name.

O Lord, You are the Purifier of sinners. This is Your Innate Nature; blessed are those rishi munis and humble beings, who meditate upon my Lord God.

“Patit Paavan Madho Birdh Tera; dhan te ve munn jann jin dhiaeiyo Har Prabh mera.”

I have applied to my forehead the dust of the Feet (Bani – I take its Sanctuary in utter humility), of the Lord of the Universe; this is something far removed from the devas, mortal men and silent sages.

“Mere maathe laagi le dhur Gobind Charnan ki; sur nar munn jann tinhu te duur.” (rahao).

O Lord, Merciful to the lowly, Destroyer of pride; I am a sacrifice to (grateful for), the Sanctuary of Your Feet. (Gurbani/ Shabad).

Deen ka Dyaal Madho Garab Parharee; Charan Sharan Nama balh tiharee.”
