Raag Bilaaval (Bilawal) M.5.

A Sikh has been blessed to know some aspects of God. Now he thirsts for Darshan. He pleads when will I be blessed enough to lovingly behold You and delight my being?

“Kab dekho Prabh apna aatam ke rang.”

Even better than being awake is a dream state where I dwell with the Lord.

“Jaagat te supna bhala bassiye Prabh sang”  (rahao).

I have searched for You everywhere.

“Khojat khojat mai firan khojo sabh thaan”

I know (from Gurbani), that You are Undeceivable, Imperishable, Mysterious; such is my Lord God.

“Ashall Achedh Abhedh Prabh aisey Bhagvan.”

I listened to Scriptures and heard about many things; my thirst for His Vision grows.

“Baran aasram Shastar sunho Darshan ki pyaas.”

I have been blessed with this understanding that He has no form or outline; He is not made of five elements (like me), the Master is Imperishable.

“Roop na rekh na panch tatt Thakur Abhinaas.”

How rare are the great Saints and Yogic Masters who describe the Beautiful Form of the Lord.

“Oh Saroop Santan kahe virlay Jogisar”

Such persons are blessed that the Lord meets them in His Mercy.

“Kar kirpa ja ko milay dhan dhan te Issar.”

Such blessed ones know He is within and outside as well; their doubts have vanished.

“So antar so bahrey binsay teh bharma.”

Nanak says they are blessed to meet God; those whose destiny is perfected.

“Nanak tis Prabh bhetiya ja ke puran karma.”
