SGGS Angg 103-104.

Raag Majh M. 5

From Angg 97 till Angg 109, there are several Shabads by Guru Arjun Dev Ji.

These Shabads do not have a Rahao. They trace a very high avastha till it Merges. It is an upward progress of the jeev (mann) with Gur Parsad.

Food is used for physical nourishment. In essence however, the True Support of the soul and breaths in the mind, is God Himself.

“Jiaa Pran Prabh Manhe Adhara.”

The Saints become truly alive by Singing Praises of the Infinite Lord.

“Bhagat jivhe Gunn Gaee Apaara.”

The Lord’s Name is the Treasure and it makes the Bhagats Immortal. It is by continuous deep meditation that I have found peace.

“Gunn Nidhan Amrit Har Nama Har dhiaye dhiaye Sukh paaiya jio.”

Anyone who makes up his mind to reach his inner home; such a person gets his cycle of births and deaths cut in Sadhsanggat.

“Mansa dhar jo Ghar te aavhe; Sadhsang janam maran mitaavhe.”

His desires and wishes get fulfilled as He gets the Guru’s Darshan.

“Aas manorath puran hove bhetat Gur Darsaiya jio.”

The limits of the Inaccessible and Unfathomable Lord cannot be known.

“Aggam Agochar kich mitt nahi jaani.”

The seekers, the sidhas of miraculous powers, and the spiritual teachers, all meditate upon Him.

“Sadhak sidh dhiiave gyaani.”

As self conceit is erased, all doubts disappear as the Guru enlightens their minds.

“Khudhi mitti chuka bholava Gur mann hi meh pargatiya jio.”

As I chant (vakhaana) His Naam, I get bliss from the Lord, and receive joys, salvation, inner peace and poise.

“Anand manggal Kalyan Nidhana; Sukh Sahaj Har Naam Vakhana.”

As my Master blessed me with His Mercy, O Nanak, He (His Name), came to abide in the home of my mind.

“Hoye Kirpal Suami Apna Naao Nanak Ghar me aaiya jio.”
