Raag Gauree (Gauri) M.5
Guru Ji describes the happy state of the Sikh who loves God, is close to Him, and regards God as his Friend.
Those who have the Lord as their Friend and Companion; how can such humble ones ever lack anything?.
“Ja ka meet saajan hai sameeya; tis jann ko kaho ka ki kammiya.”
Those who have developed love for the Lord of the Universe; their pains, suffering and delusions flee from them.
“Ja ki preet Gobind seyo laagi; dukh darad bhram ta ka bhaagi.” (rahao).
Those who have enjoyed the flavour of the Lord’s Essence (Naam); all other flavours have no attraction for them.
“Ja ko raas Har rass hai aayo; so ann rass nahi laptaaiyo.”
Those, whose words are accepted in the Lord’s Court; do not place any importance on anyone else.
“Ja ka kehiya Dargeh chaley; so kis ko nadar leh aave talley.”
Those who belong to the One who owns everything; Nanak says, they receive eternal happiness.
“Ja ka sabh kich ta ka hoye; Nanak ta ko sada sukh hoye.”
