Raag Todee (Todi) M.5
A Sikh sings Praises of God. He expresses gratitude that all his affairs have been resolved by meditating upon the Lord.
I have enshrined the Lord’s Feet (Gurbani) in my heart; contemplating upon my Master, the True Guru (Shabad), all my affairs have been resolved.
“Har Har Charan riday urh dharey; simar Suami Satgur apna karaj safall hamarey.” (rahao).
Singing Praises of the Lord, and reflecting upon His Essence (Naam), brings in all the merits of charity and devotional worship; singing the Praises of the Infinite, Unapproachable (by any device or method. You can only meet Him if He Himself gives His Grace) Lord, I have found Immeasurable Peace.
“Punn daan puja Parmeshwar Har kirat tatt bicharey; gunn gaavat atolh sukh paaya Thakur Aggam Aparey.”
The Supreme Lord does not consider the merits or demerits of those humble ones, once He makes them His Own; Nanak wears His Name as a necklace within my being, and truly lives by hearing, chanting, and meditating upon the Jewels of Naam.
“Jo jann Parbrahm Apne kinne tin ka bahur kach na bicharey; Naam rattan sunn japp japp jeevan Har Nanak kanth majharey.”
