This Shantt has 4 padas. This is the 1st pada.
A Sikh sings in gratitude. The Satguru has blessed me with “tek” (focus, faith, belief) in God’s Charan Kamal (Bani, Shabads).
“Har Charan Kamal ki Tek Satgur ditti tus ke Bal Raam Jio.”
The Lord’s Ambrosial Nectar (Naam) is an overflowing Treasure; everything is contained in this Home (Naam), I am a sacrifice to the Lord.
“Har Amrit bharey bhandaar sabh kich hai Ghar Tis ke Bal Raam Jio.”
My Father (Guru, Shabad) is verily All Powerful God the Doer, the Cause of Causes.
“Babul mera Vadh Samratha Karan Kaaran Prabh Haara.”
Remembering Him in meditation, (through the Shabad), no pain touches me, and I cross over the terrifying world ocean.
“Jis simrat dukh koyee na laggey bhaojall paar utaraa.”
From the beginning, throughout the ages, He is the Protector of His Saints. I live by continually Praising Him.
“Aad jugadh Bhagtan ka Rakha ustatt kar kar jeeva.”
Nanak says the Lord’s Name is the sweetest of all. I drink It in my mind and body, day and night.
“Nanak Naam maha rass meetha andinn mann tann peeva.”
