A Sikh sings Praises of his Guru and of God.

I am a sacrifice to my Guru and to God.

“Hao vaar vaar jaao Gur Gopal.” (rahao).

I am without any merits (unworthy) while You are the Perfect Giver, Merciful Master to the lowly ones; while standing, sitting, sleeping or awake, You are my soul, my breath of life, my wealth and property. (You are everything to me).

“Mohe nirgunn Tum Puran Datey Deena Naath Dyaal; uthatt bethatt sovatt jagatt jee pran dhan maal.”

Nanak says, there is a great thirst for Your Darshan, and I am enraptured by Your Blessed Vision.

“Darshan pyaas bahut mann mere Nanak daras nihaal.”
