Slok Vaaran Te Vadeek M.4 – Shalok 7-11
Guru Ramdas Ji has 30 Sloks in Vaaran Te Vadeek. These are sloks 7-11. The main thrust of these Sloks is love for God.
Slok 7 says those who have love for their Husband (God within them), how can they ever find satisfaction without His Darshan? Nanak says the gurmukh meets Him with intuitive ease and his mind blossoms forth in joy.
“Jinna Piri pyar bin Darshan kyo triptiyeh; Nanak milan subaye gurmukh eh mann rahasiye.”
Slok 8 says those who have love for their Husband Lord, feel they cannot live without Him; Nanak says, as they see their Husband Lord, they are rejuvenated.
“Jinna Piri pyar kyo jivan Pir bahrey; ja Saho Dekhan aapna theevan bhi harey.”
Slok 9 speaks of those gurmukhs the True Lord has filled with love; Nanak says, they remain immersed in the Lord’s Love night and day.
“Jinna gurmukh andar neh Teh Pritam Sache laaeaya; rati ate deh Nanak prem samaaeya.”
Slok 10 – Guru Ji says the genuine love of the gurmukh helps him attain the True Lord; Nanak says, night and day they remain in intuitive peace and poise.
“Gurmukh Sachi ashakee jit Pritam Sacha paiyeh; andin rahe anand Nanak sahaj samaiyeh.”
Slok 11 tells us True love and affection are obtained from the Perfect Guru; Nanak says, such love never breaks and they continually sing Praises of the Lord.
“Sacha prem pyar Gur Purey te paiyeh; kabhu ne hovay bhang Har gunn gaiyeh.”
