SGGS Angg 918.

Raag Ramkali – Pauri no. 11 Anand Sahib.

Guru Ji tells us if we want to receive Anand, we should instruct our mind like this.

O beloved mind of mine, you should always focus your attention on the True Lord.

“Eh man pyarea tu sada Sach samaley.”

The mind should also absorb this teaching that the family you see shall not go along with you: since they shall not go along with you, why do you get so engrossed with them? (Gurbani tells us to enjoy the sanjogh bestowed by God, wish all well, but remain detached internally and attach yourself to God).

“Eh kotumb tu je dekhda chaley nahi tere naley; saath tere chaley nahi tis naal kyo chit laaiye.”

Guru Ji also tells us to weigh our actions carefully, before doing anything. Do not do any act that you will regret in the end.

“Aisaa kam muley na kichey jit antt pachotaiiye.”

O my mind listen to the teachings (Bani) of the Satguru – these shall go along with you.

“Satgur ka updesh sun tu hovay tere naley.”

Nanak says, O my beloved mind reflect upon the True Lord forever.

“Kahe Nanak man pyare tu sada Sach samaley.”

Bhai Ji further added on August 3, 2024:

We tend to get engrossed in the kotumb, the family, and forget God. He operates Unseen, unlike the family which is in akaar, and all are perishable. Only Nirankar Ji who is the Life Force in all, is Imperishable and it is always Salamat (Safe, Blessed) to be in His Sanctuary.
