Raag Sarangh – M1

SGGS Ji Ang 1197/1198

A Sikh says I know my Beloved Lord is nearby.
“Duur nahi mero Prabh Pyara.”

My mind is pleased with Gurbani, and it is through Gurbani that I have found the Lord, the Support of my life.
“Satgur Bachan mero mann maaniya Har paaye pran adhara.”

The Guru reminds the Sikh. That is not enough. You meet your Husband Lord if He blesses you with His Love.
“Ein bidh Har miliye Var kaaman dhan Suhaag pyari.”

You must reflect upon Bani and remove all social class, status, race, ancestry, and restlessness of the mind.
“Jaat baran kul sahsa chuka gurmat Shabad Vichari.”

If as you say your mind is pleased with the Guru’s Teachings then you should have no more ego, pride, violent nature or greed.
“Jis mann maane abhimaan ne ta ko hinsa lobh vissare.”

The gurmukh jeev isteri enjoys the bliss of Loving Union with her Husband Lord.
“Sahaj ravhe Var kaaman Pir ki gurmukh rang saware.”

In the following padas, Guru Ji stresses the journey is internal and the word “antar” is used three times.

Bhai Ji further elaborated on January 29, 2025:

Naam refers to the Infinite Attributes (Gunn) of God.
As you recite His Gunn with love, do simran, sewa, sadhsanggat, slowly those Gunn of God will seep into you, clear your lekhas, elevate your avastha, and with Gur Parsad, you can be blessed to Merge into Nirankar Ji and have Darshan of God. Before Merger into Nirankar can take place, you must detach yourself from all akaar (forms) and become Nirankari yourself.

Guru Ji says,

“Aatam cheen bhaye Nirankari.” (Ang 415).

“Dubida chodh bhaye Nirankari” (Ang 685)

“Shabad bichaar bhaye Nirankari.” (Ang 903).

All Gunn of God are Infinite and Perfect. However, Guru Ji says one Gunn stands out above all. The Gunn that God is near at hand i.e. He is all around you, and next to you. Of all Gunn, this is the highest Gunn.

“Sagal Gunna Gunn utmo Bharta durr na pikh ri.” (Ang 400).

In this Shabad, an Enlightened Sikh says he senses/knows, that the Beloved Lord is near at hand.

“Durr nahi mero Prabh Pyara.”

This Gunn is most important. If one starts to sense/feel the Lord is nearby, he will always have the fear of God within him, and not do any evil acts.

Bhagat Kabir Ji says at Angg 1104.

“Shoh hadur dekhe ta bhao pavhe berraighre.”

Sukhmani Sahib stresses this Gunn at many places.

Astpadhi 1.
“Prabh ko simre basse Har nerhe.”

With Naam and Gur Parsad one is rendered “Pura” – Perfected. To become Pura it is a must that you realise that God is Ever Present.

Astpadi 17 says,

“Aath pahar Prabh basse hadhuray; Kaho Nanak seyi jan puray.”
