Raag Gauree (Gauri) M.5

Guru Ji tells us about some of the Infinite Attributes of Naam. It destroys all pains and miseries.

Your Name is the Destroyer of sorrows and miseries; twenty four hours a day dwell upon the Wisdom of the Perfect Guru. (Shabad).

“Dukh Bhanjan Tera Naam Ji Dukh Bhanjan Tera Naam; aath pahar aradhiye Puran Satgur Gyan.” (rahao).

That heart in which the Supreme Lord dwells, is a most beautiful place; as you sing the Praises of the Lord with your tongue, the messenger of death (pestilences) cannot come even near you.

“Jit ghat vasse Parbrahm soyee suhava thaoo; jam kangkar nerh na aavaiye rasna Har gunn gaoo.”

This part of the Shabad is expressed by a Sikh.👇

I have not consciously served Him nor adored Him by chanting His Name; You are my Support, O Inaccessible and Infinitely Profound Master.

“Sewa surat na jaaniya na jaape aradh; Ote Teri Jagveevna mere Thakur Aggam Aggad.”

When the Lord showered His Mercy, sorrow and suffering departed; the hot winds do not scorch anyone protected by the True Guru.

“Bhaye Kirpaal Gosaiean nathey sogh santaap; tatti vaao na laggaiye Satgur rakhey Aap.”

The Guru (Shabad) is the Lord, the Merciful Master, the True Creator; Servant Nanak is always a sacrifice to the Guru, who when Pleased, fulfills all wishes.

“Gur Narayan Dyo Gur Gur Sacha Sirjanhaar; Gur tuthay sabh kich paaeya jan Nanak sadh balihaar.”
