Raag Sarangh – Bhagat Kabir Ji.
Kabir Ji describes God’s awesome Power and His Play in the Universe.
There is no limit to the Powers of Your Royal Court; I am a humble servant of Your Saints.
“Rajashram mitt nahi jaani Teri; Tere Santan ki hao cheri” (rahao).
I have seen one who goes laughing, return with tears in his eyes and others who go crying return home laughing; what is inhabited becomes deserted and what is deserted teems with life.
“Hasto jaaye so rovat aave rovat jaaye so hassey; basto hoye hoye so ujarh ujarh hoye so bassey.”
Where there was water there is dry land, the desert turns into a well, and the pit turns into a mountain; from the earth one is taken to the lofty skies, and from the skies he is thrown down.
“Jal te thall kar thall te kuaa kuup te mer karavhe; dharti te akash chadavhe chadhe akaash giravhe”
The beggar is transformed into a king, and the king into a beggar; the dense fool is transformed into a pandit (scholar), and the pandit into a fool.
“Bhekhari te raaj karavhe raja te bhekhari; Khall murakh te pandit karibo pandit te mughdari.”
The woman is transformed into a man and the men into women; Kabir says God is the Beloved of the holy Saints; I am a sacrifice to His Image (Shabad, Bani).
“Nari te jo purakh karavhe purakhan te jo nari; kaho Kabir Sadhu ko Pritam Tis Murat balihari.”
Bhai Ji further elaborated on November 3, 2024:
Gurbani repeatedly tells not to be arrogant and proud. One should always live in humility and remind himself that he is a mere slave of his Saints. (Guru).
“Apne Santan ki hao cheri.”
In this Shabad, Bhagat Ji warns us, especially the arrogant ones, about God’s Awesome Unlimited Powers.
If God so Wills, you may go laughing from your home, but return in tears, and the one who goes crying may return laughing (because He can change your circumstances as He Wishes).
“Hasto jaaye so rovatt aavhe rovatt jaaye so hasse. ”
He can cause inhabited places to become deserted and infuse gaiety in deserted places.
“Basto hoye hoye so ujarh ujarh hoye so basse.”
He can turn wet areas into deserts, turn deserts into oases and even change wells into mountain ranges.
“Jal te thall kar thall te kuaa koop te mer karavhe. ”
He can exalt mortals from mere earthly beings, and hurl exalted ones downwards.
“Dharti te akaash chadavhe chade akaash giraavhe.”
