A Sikh who has received Gur Parsad shares his experiences and advises fellow Sikhs.

The Supreme Lord Helped me. His Katha and Kirtan (Naam) gives me Peace; O mortals recite the Bani of the Pura Guru daily, and abide in bliss.

“Parmeshar hova sahayee Katha Kirtan sukhdayee; Gur Purey ki Bani jap anand karo nit pranee.”

Brothers, meditate upon the True Lord; in sadh sangat eternal peace is obtained, and He abides with you always.

“Har Sacha simrho bhai; Sadhsang sada sukh paiyeh Har bissar na kabhu jaiyee.” (rahao).

God, Your Naam is Amrit; anyone who meditates upon Naam, truly lives; the humble one who is blessed with God’s Grace, becomes Immaculate and Pure.

“Amrit Naam Parmeshar Tera jo simrey so jeevay; jis no karam parapatt hovay so jan nirmal thivey.”

As your mind attaches itself to the Guru’s Feet (Bani), all obstacles and pains are removed; singing the Praises of the Immovable and Imperishable Lord, one remains awake night and day in the Lord’s Love.

“Biggan binasan sabh dukh nassan Gur Charni man lagaa; gunn gaavat Achut Abhinasee andinn Har Rang jagaa.”

He listens to the Lord’s comforting Sermon (Gurbani), and obtains the fruit of his mind’s desires; from the beginning, in the intervening period, until the very end God is Nanak’s Best Friend.

“Man ichey seyi fall paaye Har ki Katha suheli; aad antt madh Nanak ko so Prabh hova Beli.”
