Raag Sorath M.5

A Sikh sings Praises of God. He has received Gur Parsad, and all his affairs have been resolved.

I bow in reverence to the Perfect Guru (Shabad); God has resolved all my affairs; God has showered His Mercy upon me; the Lord has Perfectly preserved my honor.

“Gur Pura namaskarey; Prabh sabhe kaaj sawarey; Har Apni kirpa dharee; Prabh puran paij sawaree.”

The Lord helped and supported His slave; the Creator fulfilled all my wishes, and nothing is lacking.

“Aapne daas ko bheyo sahayee; saggal manorath kinne Karte ooni baat na kayee.” (rahao).

The Creator Gifted me with the Pool (of Naam); now maya follows in my footsteps (I no longer chase after maya, it chases after me); nothing is ever lacking; my Perfect Satguru is Pleased.

“Karte Purakh taal divaaeya; piche lagg chali maaya; tote na kathu aave; mere Puray Satgur bhaave.”

Continually remembering the Merciful Lord in meditation; all beings have become compassionate to me; Hail Hail to the Lord of the world; who set up the Perfect circumstances (leading to Union).

“Simar Simar Dyaala; jee jantt bhaye kirpaala; jeh jeh kaar Gosain; jinn Puri bantt banayee.”

You are my Great Lord and Master; these blessings and wealth are Yours; servant Nanak has meditated upon the One Lord; I have received all fruits and blessings.

“Tu bharo Suami mera; eh punn padarath Tera; jann Nanak Ek dhiaaieya; sarab falha punn paaya.”
