Raag Maroo (Maru) M.5.
A Sikh expresses his love for the All Powerful Lord. No one knows of me. All that I know is that I am known as Your slave.
“Mo ko koye na jaanat kahiyat dass tumara.”
This is my only support and sustenance.
“Eha ote adhaara” (Rahao).
God is the Redeemer of sinners: He carries us across: I am completely beholden to Him.
“Patit udharan taaran bal bal balley bal jaaiye.”
If only I could meet such a Saint (Guru), who would inspire me to pray to the Lord.
“Aisa koye bhetay sant jit Har Harey Har dhiaaieye.”
You support and cherish all: I am lowly and weak: this is my prayer to You.
“Sarab dharan pritpaaran eik bino deena.”
You alone know Your Ways; I am a mere fish and You are the Water.
“Tumri bidh tum hi jaano: Tum jal ham meena.”
O Perfect and Boundless Master I follow You in love.
“Puran Bistheeran Suami aahe aahiyo pachay.”
You pervade the worlds, the solar systems and galaxies.
“Saggal bhu mandall khandall Prabh tum hi aache.”
You are Eternal and Unchanging, Imperishable, Invisible and Infinite.
“Attal akhiyo deva mohan alakh apaara.”
Please bless Nanak with the society of saints and the gift of humility.
“Daan pavho santa sang Nanak ren dasaara.”
