Raag Dhanaasree (Dhanasree) M.5.

The wonder of Naam. In the rahao Guru Ji says the Guru’s Shabad does not sit merely on an external level. The Shabad lodges deep within your inner being.

“Gur ka Bachan bassay jee naalay.”

Besides that it abides with you forever and no one can ever take it away from you.

“Jall nahi dubbay taskarr nahi levay bhaii na sakay jaalay” (rahao)

As you repeatedly meditate upon Him you get infinite peace.

“Simar simar simar sukh pavho saas saas samalay”

Through Naam you find He protects you here and hereafter; wherever you go He protects you.

“Eh lok parlok sang sahayee jat kat mohe rakhvalay”

Naam is the true wealth for the poor, a cane (support) for the blind and (nourishing) mother’s milk for an infant.

“Nirdhan ko dhan andulay ko tik maat doodh jaisey baley.”

Nanak says the Merciful Lord has given His Grace and in the ocean of the world, I have found the Boat (Naam), of the Lord.

“Saagar me Bohith paayo Har Nanak kari Kirpa Kirpaley.”
