Raag Gauree (Gauri) Bhagat Kabir Ji.
Bhagat Ji tells us about the fascinating human body. It is intricately fashioned by the Creator with Infinite precision, but man uses the body to chase after useless things, and loses out on Merger in the Daswa Dwar.
He fashioned the body chamber with six rings (6 chakras, – the 7th is hidden) and placed the Incomparable Object (Naam, Jote) within; He made the breath of life the watchman with lock and key to protect it (the body), the Creator did this in no time at all.
“Khat nem kar kothri bandhi bastt anoop bich payee; kunji kulaf pran kar rakhay Karte baar na layee.”
O brother, let your mind be awake (aware) always; you were careless and have wasted your life – your home is being plundered by thieves.
“Abh mann jagat raho re bhai; gafall hoye ke janam gavahiyo chor musay ghar jayee.” (rahao).
The five senses (sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch) stand as guards at the gate, but how can they be trusted?; when you remember Him consciously in your heart, you shall receive enlightenment.
“Panch pahruva dar meh rehte tin ka nahi patiyara; chet sochet chit hoye raho tao leh pargas ujiara.”
The bride soul is led astray by the nine openings of the body, and she fails to obtain the Incomparable Object (Naam, Jote); Kabir says, the nine openings are being plundered, and the Essence remains latent in the tenth gate (Daswa Dwar).
“Nao ghar dekh jo kaaman bhuli bastt anoop neh payee; kahat Kabir naveh ghar musey Daswe tatt samayee.”
