Guru Ji tells us about the amazing Shabad Guru.
My Satguru (Shabad) is totally independent; my True Guru is adorned with Truth; the Guru (Shabad) is the Giver to all; my True Guru is pervading all, and is the Writer of destinies.
“Satgur mera behmohtaj; Satgur mere Sacha saaj; Satgur mera sabhas ka Dataa; Satgur mera Purakh Bidhataa.”
There is no divinity equal to the Guru; one whose forehead has good fortune written on it, applies himself to sewa (of the Guru Shabad).
“Gur jaisa nahi ko dev; jis mastak bhaag so laaga sev.” (rahao).
My True Guru cherishes all; He kills and revives; the glorious greatness of my Guru becomes manifest everywhere.
“Satgur mera sarab pritpalay; Satgur mera maar jivalay; Satgur mere ki vadiaiyee; pargat bheyi hai sabhni thayee.”
My True Guru (Shabad) is the power of the powerless; the Satguru holds Court in my body home; I am forever a sacrifice to my True Guru; He has shown to me the manifested Path (Hukam).
“Satgur mera taan nitaan; Satgur mera ghar dibaan; Satgur ko hao sadh balh jaaieya; pargat marag jin kar dikhlaieya.”
One who serves the True Guru (Shabad) is not afflicted by fear; one who serves the True Guru does not suffer in pain; Nanak says, I have studied the Simritees and the Vedas; (my conclusion after that study), there is no difference between the Supreme Lord God and the Guru.
“Jin Gur seviya tis bhao neh biappey; jin Gur seviya tis dukh neh santapey; Nanak sodhay Simrit Bedh; Parbrahm Gur nahi bhed.”
