Raag Bilaaval (Bilawal) M.5

A Sikh sings Praises of the Guru and reaffirms his tek/focus, upon only the Satguru.

You are the Support of my mind O Beloved, You are the sole focus of my mind; all other clever devices are useless. You alone are my Protector.

“Mai mann Teri tek mere Pyare mai mann Teri tek; avar sianpaa birthiya Pyare rakhan ko Tum Ek.” (rahao).

O Beloved Lord, one who meets the True Guru (Shabad), that humble person gets enraptured; O Beloved Lord upon whom You show Mercy, such a person serves the True Guru.

“Satgur Pura je milay Pyare so jann hote nihalaa; Gur ki sewa so kare jis no hoye Dyalaa.”

Fruitful is the Form (Shabad) of the Divine Guru Master. He is overflowing with powers and All Capable.

“Safall Murat Gurdeo Suami Sarab Kalaa Bharpurey.”

Nanak says, the Guru (Shabad) is the Supreme Lord Himself, ever present, forever and ever.

“Nanak Gur Parbrahm Parmeswar sada sada hajurey.”

Bhai Ji fruther elaborated on 6 December, 2024:

The tek (single minded focus) upon God must be fixed in the mann. There is no need to be showy about this tek. It is not a forced tek. It must be a tek of love.

“Mai mann Teri tek Pyare mai mann Teri tek.”

The Sikh further says O Beloved Lord, I now know all other sianpaa (clever devices) are useless. My tek upon You has made me realise You are the Only One Protector.
“Avar sianpaa birthiya Pyare Raakhan ko Tum Ek.”
